What is a Plastic Mat or Plastic Rug or PP Mat?

Plastic Mat / Polypropylene Mat / Outdoor Plastic Rug is simply a Light weight Indoor/Outdoor Rug /Carpet made by tightly weaving plastic straws using yarn/thread.

What raw material is used in a Plastic Mat?

Polypropylene is the material used in PP Mats. Since they are made from Polypropylene Tubes, these mats are made of easy to clean, odorless, fade-proof, and can handle high moisture and heavy foot traffic.

Where can we use these rugs?

These Mats can be used Indoor or Outdoor Applications. They are used to warm up a room or put a decorative touch to any space. It can be put in Living Room, Kitchen, Foyer, Dining or Kid’s Playroom. It can also be used for your patio, backyard, over the grass, at the beach or camping. Since they are light and maintenance- free, It can be used literally anywhere.

What are the different qualities produced in these rugs?

The rugs can be made in three different qualities which are virgin, semi-virgin or recycled.

What is the difference between virgin, semi- virgin and recycled polypropylene mats?

Functionality wise all Mats are the same, the only difference is color options and consistency. In virgin mats, you’ll get more color options and consistent colors compared to the other two. The color consistency drops a bit when you go from virgin to semi-virgin or semi-virgin to recycled mats.

Can the tubes be made in any colour?

In the case of virgin PP, the colours can be matched to pretty much any shade in Pantone. In case of semi-virgin and recycled PP, 100% match is not possible also consistency in tubes may differ.

How many colours can be used in one plastic rug?

We can use a maximum of four colours only.

What if I want to customize plastic rugs with my own design / Logo?

Any design/Logo can be woven onto the mat with only restriction of 4 colors. Customization and Logos are done for specific quantities and requirements.

What are the standard sizes of plastic rugs?

Standard sizes are 90 x 150, 90 x 180, 120 x 180, 150 x 210, 150 x 240, 180 x 270, 240 x 300, and 274 x 360 (all sizes are in cm).

Can we make Mats in any other sizes apart from ones listed above?

Yes.

Width;- Any width between between 60 cm to 270 cm is possible. Mats with widths of more than 270cms are made with two pieces being joined together.

Length: There is no restriction on the length of the mat.

How much is the weight of one rug?

The rugs can be made between 360 GSM to 600 GSM as per the customer/buyer requirement. Though most widely accepted in 450 GSM.

What are the tolerances in these Rugs?

Weight will tend to vary by plus and minus 5%.

Width and lengths also do vary by 2% and 5% respectively on the plus and minus side.

How much time you will need to develop the samples?

Sample development won’t take long time, we can develop samples within 15-20 days, depend upon the number of designs and pantone shade.

What are the quantities that can be stuffed in 20 feet and 40 feet HQ container?

In 20 feet container 5000 square meter material can be shipped.

In 40 feet container 11,500 square meter material can be shipped.

What is the MOQ’s per rug?

Our MOQ is 1500 to 1800 square meter per rug, depending upon the designs and colors.

What is the capacity of your plant?

At present, We have capacity to produce 5500 to 6000 square meter per day.

What is Standard Packing?

The Rugs are individually packed in poly bags and then in HDPE Bales. We also do PDQ packing as per the customer’s requirement.
